Please note that this guide was intended for windows based computers, i don't know how to do it on mac or linux, and high speed internet access on the unblocked (host) computer is highly reccommended.
There is a website out there, www.logmein.com, that allows you to essentially 'remote control' a computer.
What you have to do is sign up for an account (there is a free version of this service), and then download the LogMeIn program and install it on an unrestricted computer, such as at home. The instructions and support at logmein are pretty complete.
There are, however, a few settings that you need to change once you install it, depending on whether your computer is used regularly, or if it sits idle.
If you have trouble with the settings, email me and i can do my best to help. Remember your computer must be on for this to work.
Then, go to www.logmein.com, and sign in. Select your computer and remote control, and the website will try to install some form of control in your browser to control the computer. You need to allow this in order to access the unblocked computer that you set up LogMeIn on.
Of course, logmein.com cannot be blocked for this to work, and if it is, it may be worth trying the HTTPS version: https://www.logmein.com.
Once you have begun remote controlling your computer, it's as if you were sitting right in front of it. To access the internet, simply open the internet program. If you so desire you can do almost anyhting with the computer that you could by sitting in front of it, such as running other programs.
There will be some lag with the program, and this is normal, especailly on slower connections. Be patient.
Another note, you may wish to warn those who will be near the computer, becasue a computer operating by itself can be quite strange (you will be able to see what is going on through the unblocked computer's screen in most cases).
